A fantasy adventure through the streets and hidden corners of Évora’s historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With an iPad and a game kit, the team solves puzzles in enchanted places to seal the magic portal once again.
The adventure
In The Magic Portal, each team becomes a group of heroes. With the map on the iPad and a game kit, they set off through Évora’s historic centre in search of the magic crystals.
The legend of the portal
Since the dawn of time, magic portals have linked our world to a fantastic parallel world, protected by their guardians. But one guardian has fallen into a magical sleep and evil creatures are invading our world.
Legend has it that, with the help of a powerful artefact, determined heroes can find where the magic crystals are hidden. Solve the puzzles in enchanted places and gather enough crystals to seal the Magic Portal once again. Can you do it?
A first look at the adventure awaiting the team (in English).
The game
Courage, intelligence and speed are put to the test. You don’t need to know Évora or to have played an escape game before.
The map on the iPad guides the team to iconic places in Évora’s historic centre.
Each team receives an iPad and a kit of objects and gadgets, lent for the game and returned at the end.
Analogue, digital or augmented reality puzzles, hidden in enchanted places in the historic centre.
The team chooses the route, shares out the tasks and works together to gather the crystals it needs to seal the portal.
Up to 180 minutes to seal the portal. The actual time depends on the team’s pace.
The team plays on its own, at its own pace. The game master follows along remotely and can always be reached by phone.
The adventure ends where it began, at the B de Brincar shop in Évora’s historic centre. Portal sealed or not, the team takes home a story to tell.
At the end, there’s a surprise: a small gift to remember the adventure by.
Before you book
2 to 5 per team. Larger groups play as several teams, with one booking per team.
Up to 180 minutes, at each team’s own pace.
Portuguese, English or Spanish, chosen when you book.
Ideally aged 10 and over. Under-18s play with a responsible adult.

On foot and outdoors. Comfortable shoes and water; in summer, a hat and sunscreen.

The price is per player and depends on the size of the team. It includes the private game, use of the iPad and the kit during the game and remote support from the game master.

Each team has at least 2 paying players. Payment is made online, when you book. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before, with a full refund.
A group of more than 5 people? Several teams, the same mission: the first to complete it wins. Just make one booking per team and let us know the teams are coming together.
