The games
Two urban exploration games on the same board: Évora’s historic centre.
It’s an urban exploration game in which the team solves puzzles, cracks codes and completes a mission before time runs out. Instead of a locked room, the board is the streets, monuments and hidden corners of Évora’s historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
There are two. In Operation Mindfall, a spy mission, you have to stop Spider Technologies. In The Magic Portal, a fantasy adventure, you have to seal a magic portal once again. Both are played on foot through Évora’s historic centre, with an iPad and a kit.
It depends on the team’s taste. Operation Mindfall is for anyone who loves spies, technology and gadgets; The Magic Portal is for anyone who loves magic, legends and fantastic creatures. In both, the puzzles are analogue, digital or augmented reality.
Operation Mindfall lasts up to 150 minutes and The Magic Portal up to 180 minutes. The actual time depends on each team’s pace.
No. You don’t need to have played an escape game before or to know the city: the map on the iPad guides the team and we explain everything before you set off. All it takes is curiosity and team spirit.

Yes. Only your team or the teams in your group take part, with no strangers.
Each team plays independently, at its own pace. A game master, the person who runs the game, follows along remotely and can always be reached by phone.
Who can play
As a family, with friends or as a couple, always as a private game.
Each team has 2 to 5 players. Under-12s don’t count towards this maximum: up to 3 can join each team. A larger group plays as several teams, all with the same mission: the first to complete it wins. Just make one booking per team and let us know the teams are coming together.
Ideally aged 10 and over. Under-18s play with a responsible adult. Younger children can also play with their family, but some puzzles may be hard for them.
Under-12s go free. Each team has at least 2 paying players.
Because of the nature of the historic centre and the routes, we cannot guarantee wheelchair access. If in doubt, it’s best to talk to us before booking.
Booking and prices
Booking is done online and payment is made when you book.
Online, in the booking calendar. Choose the game, the day and the time, then tell us the game language and the number of players. Payment is made when you book.
You can book online up to 8 hours before the game starts. The earlier you book, the more start times you have to choose from.
Every day, as long as there are still time slots available. The booking calendar shows the start times that are still free; on some days there may be none left.
The price is per player and depends on the size of the team: €25 in a team of 2 and €20 in a team of 3 to 5. Under-12s go free. The price includes VAT, the private game, use of the iPad and the kit during the game and remote support from the game master.
Online, when you book, by card or PayPal. The booking is confirmed once payment is made.
Yes. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the booked time, with a full refund. With less notice, there is no refund. To cancel, just contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email.

On the day
The game starts and ends at the B de Brincar shop, in Évora’s historic centre.
At the B de Brincar shop, at Rua Serpa Pinto, n.º 38, in Évora’s historic centre. That’s where each team collects the iPad and the kit. The game starts and ends there.
At the B de Brincar shop, you show an identity document and fill in a short liability waiver. Then each team receives an iPad and a kit of objects and gadgets. We explain everything before you set off.
An identity document, comfortable shoes and water; in summer, a hat and sunscreen. We also recommend bringing a mobile phone with internet access. The iPad and the kit are lent for the game and returned at the end.
The map on the iPad guides the team along the whole route. The game master also sees in real time where each team is and can always be reached by phone.
If it rains, we provide raincoats and umbrellas for the team. In extreme weather, the game is rescheduled for another date or exchanged for a voucher of the same value.
The game ends where it began, at the B de Brincar shop. The victory and the photos stay with the team and, at the end, there’s a surprise: a small gift to remember the adventure by.

Yes. Operation Mindfall has a version for corporate events: about three hours through Évora’s historic centre, with an individual reflection questionnaire and a report for the organisation.
Board game events take place at the organisation’s premises, at another venue of its choice or at a hotel in Évora. The outdoor escape game is played in Évora’s historic centre. Outside Mind Games is an Évora company that works all over Portugal.
Each event is tailor-made, so the price depends mainly on the number of participants, the format and the location.
