On this page
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the browser of the people who visit it. There are similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, that serve the same purpose. In this policy, the word cookies covers all of them.
The law distinguishes cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the visitor, which do not require consent, from all other cookies (for example, analytics or advertising cookies), which may only be used with prior consent (Article 5 of Portuguese Law No. 41/2004 of 18 August).
The Outside Mind Games website only uses strictly necessary cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies. That is why it does not show a banner asking for consent.
Most pages do not store any cookies. Only the booking page, where the booking and payment form is located, uses the following:
| Name | Source | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention for card payments. | 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention for card payments, during the visit. | 30 minutes |
| __paypal_storage__ | PayPal (local storage) | Identifies the PayPal payment button session. | Until deleted in the browser |
| maz-resolved-color-mode | Booking form | Stores the form’s display mode (light or dark). | 1 year |
On the booking page, the form connects to Stripe and PayPal to prepare the payment. These services may use their own cookies, on their own domains, for security and fraud prevention. Those cookies are the responsibility of Stripe and PayPal and are described in their respective policies.
The site’s fonts, images and videos are served by the site itself. The meeting point map, WhatsApp and social media only open when the corresponding link is followed; from then on, those services’ policies apply.
Cookies can be viewed, blocked or deleted in the browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others), usually in the privacy or site data section. Blocking the necessary cookies may prevent online booking or payment.
If the site starts using other cookies (for example, analytics cookies), this policy will be updated and, where required by law, consent will be requested before they are used.
More information on the processing of personal data can be found in the privacy policy.
